Terms of service

The agreement between you and us when you use MojoExplains. Please read it — especially the parts about refunds, ownership and access to your website.

Last updated: 4 November 2026

1. Who we are and these Terms

MojoExplains (mojoexplains.com) is operated by Villerise Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 15768976 ("we", "us", "our").

By using MojoExplains, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, our Refund Policy and our Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. If you use MojoExplains for a company or a client, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for them.

2. The Service

MojoExplains makes animated explainer videos — for example SaaS explainers, product explainers, business-model explainers and app walkthroughs — using artificial intelligence and our own production tools (the "Service"). Videos are based on your website, your answers, the materials you provide and, if you choose, screens captured from a demo account you log into.

Production is largely automated. What each order includes (length, quality, format, number of AI credits) is shown before you pay. We improve the Service continuously and may add, change or remove features.

3. Your account

You sign in with Google or with a link or code we email you. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure and for everything that happens under your account. Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.

Each person may hold one account. Disposable email addresses are not allowed. Creating several accounts to get extra credits or other benefits is not allowed, and we may merge, limit or close accounts that do so.

4. Orders and payments

Prices are shown in US dollars on our website and at checkout. Payments are taken in advance and processed by our payment provider, Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. Unless stated otherwise, prices do not include taxes that may apply where you live, which you are responsible for.

A single video order buys one video of the length you chose (30, 60 or 90 seconds). So it can end naturally, a video may run up to 5 seconds longer than the length you paid for. Add-ons — a longer length (you pay the difference between the two prices) or 4K export — change a project's limits only once they are paid. Nothing said in a chat, a brief or a website can change what you have paid for.

When you place an order you ask us to start work straight away. Where the law allows, you agree that once production has started you lose any statutory right to cancel the order.

5. Agency plans

Agency plans are monthly subscriptions that renew automatically each month until you cancel. You authorise us and Stripe to charge your payment method for each new month.

Each billing month includes the number of videos and AI credits shown for your plan. Videos may be any length up to 90 seconds; 4K costs extra per video. Unused videos expire at the end of each billing month and do not carry over.

You can cancel at any time in your dashboard. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your plan stays active until the end of the month you have already paid for. You may make videos for your own clients with an agency plan; you are responsible for having their permission and for the content they give you.

6. AI credits

AI credits pay for changes after a video is delivered and for other AI work in your projects. A typical edit costs 1 credit. A large edit (for example, restructuring the video or rewriting several scenes) is quoted, usually at 2–3 credits, before it runs, and is only charged if you confirm it. Conversation that doesn't change your video may use a small fraction of a credit. Some orders and plans include credits; extra credits can be bought separately.

Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged, and are not refundable. We may change how many credits a type of work costs; the price of an edit is always shown before you confirm a large one.

7. Access to your website and accounts

To make your video, you authorise us, our automated systems and our service providers to visit, browse and capture screenshots and recordings of the website(s) you give us, and, if you choose the sandbox login, to use the demo account you log into in our secure browser — only to make and edit your video.

You confirm that you have the right to give us this access. Please use a demo or test account, not an account holding real customer data or the ability to make payments. Our systems are designed to navigate and look, not to change things, but you are responsible for choosing an account where browsing cannot cause harm. We never ask for your password. Saved sandbox sessions are deleted 30 days after your video is delivered.

8. Your materials

You keep all rights to the materials you give us — your website content, logo, brand assets, screenshots, recordings, text and answers. You give us a limited, non-exclusive licence to use them to make, edit and deliver your video and to run the Service.

You confirm that you have the rights to everything you provide and to everything shown on the website or account you ask us to capture, and that using it in a video does not infringe anyone's rights or break any law.

9. Who owns the video

Once your order is paid, you own the finished video files we deliver to you. You may use, copy, edit and publish them anywhere, for any lawful purpose, including commercially, without crediting us.

The voiceover, music and visual elements we create or license are included for use as part of your video. You may not extract them to sell or distribute them as standalone assets (for example, selling the music track on its own).

We may show your video as an example of our work only if you give us permission.

10. The project source stays with us

To make your video we create a project source: scripts, scene code, animation files, timelines, captured assets and settings. The project source is our property and is never handed over, sold or exported — including on request. What you buy is the finished video files.

We keep the project source so we can make the edits you ask for. We aim to keep it while your account is active, but we don't guarantee to store it forever; if it is no longer available, further AI edits to that video may not be possible.

11. Acceptable use and prohibited content

You must not use MojoExplains to create, or ask us to capture, content that:

  • is illegal, or promotes illegal goods, services or activities;
  • is sexually explicit, or sexualises minors in any way;
  • is hateful, harassing, violent or threatening, or discriminates against people;
  • is defamatory, or impersonates a person, company or brand you do not represent;
  • is deceptive — scams, phishing, fake reviews, "get rich quick" schemes, or misleading health, financial or legal claims;
  • spreads election or public-health disinformation;
  • infringes someone else's copyright, trademarks, privacy or other rights;
  • promotes weapons, illegal drugs or gambling where it is not lawful.

You also must not: try to reverse-engineer, scrape, overload or disrupt the Service; try to get around its limits, prices, credits or security, including by instructing the AI through your website, answers or files; obtain or try to obtain the project source; or resell access to the Service, except by making videos for your own clients on an agency plan.

We may refuse, pause or stop any project, and suspend or close accounts, that break these rules.

12. If we refuse or stop a project

If we refuse or stop a project because it breaks these Terms, you are not entitled to a refund. If we decide not to make a paid video for any other reason, that counts as a failure to deliver and you get a full refund under our Refund Policy.

13. Delivery and no guarantee of results

Most videos are ready within hours, but delivery times are estimates, not guarantees: complex websites, the time you take to answer the brief, high demand or outages at our providers can cause delays. We email you when your video is ready.

AI-made content can contain mistakes. Review your video before you publish it — you are responsible for checking that what it says about your product is accurate and that its claims are lawful. We do not promise any particular business result, such as sales, sign-ups, conversions or views.

14. Refunds

We do not offer refunds, except a full refund if we fail to deliver your video. AI credits and add-ons that have been applied are non-refundable, and cancelling an agency plan stops the next renewal but does not refund the current month. The full rules are in our Refund Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

15. Chargebacks

If you have a problem with a charge, please contact us first — most issues are solved quickly. If you dispute a valid charge with your bank instead, we may suspend your account and stop work on your projects, and we will give the bank the evidence of your order, your acceptance of these Terms and the work delivered.

16. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties, for example Stripe for payments, Google for sign-in, cloud providers for computing and storage, and AI providers. Their services are subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for their outages or changes, although we work to keep the Service running.

17. Disclaimer

Apart from what these Terms expressly promise, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no other warranties, express or implied, including about fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability or error-free AI output.

18. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, business, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service or of a video.

Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

19. Your responsibility to us

If someone makes a claim against us because of the materials you gave us, the website or account you asked us to access, the content you asked us to put in a video, or how you used a video, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs arising from that claim, to the extent the law allows.

20. Suspension and termination

You can stop using MojoExplains at any time; cancel any agency plan first. We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we stop offering the Service. If we stop offering the Service for reasons other than your breach, we will tell you in advance and refund any video you have paid for that we have not delivered.

21. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change significantly affects you, we will tell you by email or in your dashboard before it applies. Orders placed before a change are governed by the Terms in force when you placed them. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

22. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and may also bring proceedings there.
